All these pics were taken at the L.A. roadsters meet 1999. Got some cool pics you'd like to share? mail me. Back to Dave's Scrapbook Index page |
Seen this one in a few mags.. The Moomjean car. That body features the original paint from the 50's. (40's?).
It's new owner collects flathead goodies. He raided the stash to put this gem together. Twin plug heads and a frenzel(?) centrifugal blower aren't exactly everyday items..
So is it a Rod or a Custom? I dunno but I'd give it garage space any day.
Thought this was the same car at first, similar stance, different wheels/skirts etc.
Nice hemi powered Deuce roadster. Nice lights, don't like the radials tho...
Pure Hell. So that'll be an Altered then.
The Chopper's cars are familiar to UK readers due to Aaron Kahan's monthly contribution to Custom Car Magazine. Dig that way out club plaque..
Another Chopper's ride. A too cool '56 F100. By the way, if a south Londoner ever tells you your headlights are canted, he means they're broken.
Gives a new meaning to two-tone paint jobs.
Good photo opportunity ruined by ill conceived chequered flag bunting. Both of these cars are restored well known Rods from years ago (must wade through my mags to try to put a name to 'em).
That spring perch sprouting through the grille is giving me ideas for my back-burner A... I'm just wondering where the frame sits relative to that tie-rod. (Once an injuneer always an injuneer..)
I didn't realise you could get '34's with steel bodies. All the ones I've ever seen came out the same mould as mine!
Lee Pratt's '40 coupe, my fave car. Love that candy gold paint. Wonder if that chap on the right is British? Hmmm.. just spotted those A roadster panels on the left.. Thanks for the latest batch of photo's Dave, I thought this update was going to be a bit sparse but I knew I could depend on you to come up trumps again! Mart. |
