Gary's '32 Coupe.
Runs a stock 21 stud flattie. Has a Pilot axle in the rear, dropped
axle in front. Pilot wheels the same as 36-39 U.S models.
Note minimal rear mudguards, just enough to keep John Law at bay.
Gaz tells me he got the coupe at a bargain price. Now I've seen the
photo's I have to agree. Front tyres are
"Double Sunshine" brand. Chinese truckers swear by/at them.
Gaz sez the car required a lot of rework after he bought it. Only thing
he's not happy with is the linkage on the side shift 3 speed 'box. Car
is off the road at the moment, Hopefully will be back on the road in 2000.
Pilot hubcaps are all chrome, thats why the outer bit is shiny.
Orange indicators an early victim of Gary's re-work.
Flathead at rest. Stone stock flatty provides reasonable performance
in a 'glass coupe.
Pilot motors have plan view of motor adjacent to centre head stud,
gives firing order.
Gaz happened upon my '34 at Billing a couple of years ago. There's
a lot of similarities between our cars.
My car was fresh out- No hubcaps or bonnet, fenders were in place.
Gaz snapped this car a few years ago. This '32 5 window is all steel.
21stud flatty powered again. Steel deuces are rare in the UK due to the
stock car craze of the 50's. He reckons he saw this one advertised for
sale a couple of years ago.
Note 105E Anglia and 100E van in background- Primo UK Rod material.
This car is one of Gary's favourites, just a lil' A bone on deuce rails.
This is what Gaz is aiming for with his next project.
Havn't seen this one around for a while.
Gary's Desoto. Owned a few years ago, had the little hemi. Note grille
specially designed for chewing up and spitting out hatchbacks. Nice car
but it just had to go. Had way too many doors.
That old De Soto again, with Gary's old Consul behind. The Consul featured
a reworked engine and got the better of a Rover powered Consul owned by
Gary's mate.
---oooOOOooo---
Gaz, thats a nice lot of pics, thanks for sending them over. Mart.
