This series of photos were taken at the wild grasstrack races hosted by the Scutchers.

Having fun in Hot Rods - Isn't that what it's all about?

Jack's T at full tilt. Whitewalls? Blackwalls? Just use what yer got.

Stinger's perfectly proportioned (to my mind) A-V8 at speed on the grass.

Ready Steady Go!

'23 T vs. '32 in the tug o'war. Jack hadn't reckoned on the '32 being fitted with spade lugs instead of rear tyres.
The ensuing spectacle was the funniest thing I have ever witnessed. Who's that fat bastard on the right? Damn! that's me!

See what I mean? Spade lugs resulted in monster rooster tails of dirt and grass,
showering the unlucky opponent (read loser) in crap.

Ah yes, a new event, pallet racing.

ooh me arse!

Here's a new one, steal Jim's pickup, lash on a settee, set 'er running  then dive off the back onto the sofa.
Er, guess they should'a had a nominated driver before they all dived off.

Bloke on right contemplates how to tackle the runaway truck.

YeeeHaaaah! Jim's A pickup in monster slide.. resulting in.....

Whoops! overdone it again!

Er, and again. Same hedge, another car.

I took these two shots myself but they're from the same event so I've spliced 'em in here-Mart

Note guy in white T shirt straightening steering on T after the above mishap.

Note full fendered '32 at speed on the 'track'.
--ooOoo--
Thanks, Jim, for sharing these pics from what has to be the best fun event I've ever attended. ..Mart
